Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church

Our Missions Strategy

In the Bible, Acts 1:8 says, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

We use this verse as a guide for how we go about missions here at Abbotts Creek.

Our Jerusalem Partners & Opportunities

Here is Hope Pregnancy Center
This ministry is a is a Christ centered ministry committed to upholding the sanctity of human life by providing hope, and help through biblical counseling, education, and assistance in areas of pregnancy and purity. It is located in Thomasville NC. Our WMU has been partnering with them and now part of our missions offering will help fund them.
Serve NC
ServeNC is an opportunity for every NC Baptist church to love its community in Jesus’ name through service projects. In August, we plan to participate with churches from all over NC to serve the community around our own churches. We hope to do various service projects and have gospel conversations.

Our Judea Partners & Opportunities

Western NC Disaster Relief
Baptist on Mission is a specific ministry within our NC State Convention. With our offering from 2024, we sent a substantial gift specifically to help in Western NC. This is part of our “Judea” missions. Rebuild sites are being established in four different locations and will house volunteers working in Mitchell and surrounding counties. The process of rebuilding homes will be ongoing for several years.
Appalachian Christmas Outreach
This ministry is part of the Appalachian Coalfields Ministry, sponsored by Baptists on Mission to minister both physically and spiritually to people in some of the poorest areas of our nation. One of the greatest ministry needs in this area occurs at Christmastime. Churches statewide fill backpacks with a list of items along with a new Bible and a copy of the Christmas Stor.
